Illusive Actions Review

All i can say is, This dvd should cost more! :D
I really love robbies work its phenomenal, i fell in love with robbies work when i saw "The respect for magic" video on youtube. I contacted robbie and asked him if i may purchase the dvd(you can get it Directly from him With paypal For $40, Thats including shipping at BottomDeal2000@yahoo.com) If you have $40 on you right now go ahead and contact robbie and get the dvd i really recomend it! :D
on to the effects.

Loose Change, I must say when i saw this i thought there must be a shell involved.... I was fooled. I never really do coin tricks,but this made me want to :D
And the setup only takes about 5 seconds all you need is three coins and your ready to roll.

Bic-a-chink Transpo
I really loved watching robbie perform this absolutly amazing trick this is for all you coin guys out there. It starts off with the magician producing a coin out of a pen cap. then the coin jumps across the table invisibly to the other side, then suddely all four coins appear from no where, then the magician takes the coin and places them in his pocket and shows the pen, he shakes the pen and it tuns into the four coins with out any gimmicks, and in the pocket is the pen... Amazing! :D

Yet-Another-Reset Out of all the variations on paul harris's Reset trick, This has to be my favorite. it starts off with the magician producing the four aces out of a shuffled deck of cards. he lays the aces down the suddenly all the queens appear too (Robbie has a variation on lee ashers ambitious Explosion, i prefer his version that lee ashers, its awesome! :D)
then the trick goes into the normal reset but alot fancier than all the others im my opinion.

Repulsive Interchange -One selection disapears from in between the four queens and reappears in your pocket. Another selection is placed in but this time the queens vanish leaving only one selection. You then pull the 4 queens out from your pockets!
Im not a big fan of palming but this effect is STRONG! i was performing this for people and their reactions amazed me, i thought they were going to catch me palming the cards but they didnt there is so much misdirection involved that you dont need to worry about it.

Sandwich routine.
One of my favorite effects. You start off producing two jacks, and you lay them down on the table, next three selections are made a shuffled into the pack. then one of the jacks disappear, and then the other. They are then found in the center of the pack with selection number one, then the magician takes the selection out from the jacks and place it down onto the table, he squeezes the jack then another selection is found inbetween the jacks once again. then the jacks find the third selection
then suddenly the jacks dissapear only leaving the selections. its really simple to perform too

Two Places at one time. My favorite effect on the dvd, its worth the price of the dvd itself im my opinion.
three random cards are chosen by the spectator and placed into the deck box then three selections are made and are lost into the deck, then suddenly all the card appear inbetween the queens. then the magician shows they are the selections then with a squeese the selections are gone, then you open the box and pull out the three cards, but suddenly they become four, they are the queens, and what were the queens layed on the table are the selctions. A collectors routine to rule them all.

Overall i rate this dvd a 10/10 he goes over the sleights multiple times for easy learning, im just now waiting till he gets some notes (the are all sold out at the moment)... so whenever you have $40 on you... go buy this dvd

Help Keep Decknique

I don't know if this will matter, or if it will make an impact, but it never hurts to be heard.

I, for one, feel that Decknique is one of the only safe havens for card manipulators, it has a free and independent environment that helps many new manipulators get their start, as well as furthering our art to the public! It is also a place where discussion on the subject of card handling, video production, products, etc can freely take place!

I don't oppose to Richard running a sub-forum on Theory11 at all, but NOT AT THE COST OF DECKNIQUE! We should KEEP DECKNIQUE! I feel we ALL deserve a place like this!
